All eyes are now on Singapore, for the much awaited historic summit between President of the United States Donald J. Trump and Democratic PeopleÂ’s Republic of Korea State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un, on June 12, 2018. The upcoming historic summit will be an important step for world peace and a significant moment in the history of Singapore, recognized internationally as a country where peace takes place.
In anticipation of the USA-North Korea summit, the Singapore Mint has created gold, silver, and copper nickel commemorative to mark this momentous moment in world history, while also recognizing SingaporeÂ’s integral role as a neutral host & an economic gateway between the East and the West.
The reverse depicts the handshake between the two leaders of the USA & North Korea with the national flags for both countries, along with the date of the summit taking place in Singapore.
