The program features the Tang Dynasty masterpiece painting “Court ladies preparing newly woven silk”, originally by Zhang Che, the famous court painter. All are legal tender of the People’s Republic of China.
This set is among the Chinese ancient painting series, it has been more than 20 years since the last set was issued, the 60g silver coins are also the first ones to have a diameter of 45mm!
The common observe design features the “Chinese four treasures in study” – brushes, ink, paper and inkstone, surrounded by bamboo leaves and a Chinese lattice window, the title of PRC and the year date.
