For the first time in over 100 years, the coat-of-arms of Great Britain appears on their gold half sovereigns (instead of St. George slaying a dragon). This is a one-year type! The first 200 struck were certified along with the sequence number. This example is superb gem brilliant uncirculated quality. Precious metal content is 3.99 gm. of 22 kt. (917 fine) gold.
