A set of commemorative coins of Huangshan Mountain (also called Yellow Mountain), a world cultural and natural heritage in Anhui province, was minted by the People's Bank of China. The set contains three gold coins and five silver coins, portraying scenic spots on Huangshan Mountain.
On the obverse, the coins feature the same pattern – the national emblem, country name and year – while the reverse features different scenery from Huangshan Mountain. As legal tender, each coin is 99.9% pure and minted in proof quality. All coins are minted by Shenzhen Mint, Shenyang Mint and Shanghai Mint.
The 1 kg gold & the 1/4 oz gold commemorative coins both feature the well known and famous Ying Ke Pine, or Welcome Pine. The 5 oz gold coin features another famous symbol of Huangshan Mountain - the pen shaped hill. The 1 kg silver coin features the Yuping landscape of the Yellow Mountain. There are 4 coins made in 1 oz silver, all with different designs: the monkey shape stone watching the cloud sea, the flying-over stone of the Yellow Mountain, the herringbone waterfall of the Yellow Mountain, & the Yuping Tower of the Yellow Mountain.
